Limpertsberg lies just north of the old town (Ville-Haute). It had 11,595 residents at the end of 2025, according to the City of Luxembourg.

Its open square, the Glacis, hosts the Schueberfouer funfair every year at the end of the summer, and the Grand Théâtre stands at the Rond-point Robert Schuman, where the tram crosses from Kirchberg into the city.

The district mixes apartment buildings with town houses, and houses here are among the most expensive in the city.
