Once a quiet southern suburb dominated by the old Gasperich allotment gardens and the central wholesale market, it has been transformed over the past fifteen years by the development of Cloche d'Or - new apartment buildings, a major shopping centre, the headquarters of PwC, Deloitte and the Luxembourg State Archives, and a significant residential expansion that has pushed Gasperich into the modern era.

The neighbourhood today is apartment-heavy, modern and increasingly international, popular with finance, tech and EU professionals who want to live within walking distance of work or a five-minute tram ride from Luxembourg Central Station. The architecture mixes 1960s-1980s suburban housing in the older streets with sleek post-2010 apartment buildings closer to Cloche d'Or - a contrast that gives Gasperich a slightly schizophrenic but interesting character.

For buyers, Gasperich offers a real range: a 90 sqm older apartment in a 1970s building can sit around 850,000-950,000 EUR, while a comparable modern unit in a recent Cloche d'Or-adjacent project crosses 1.1 million EUR easily.
